At the fireside
On cold winter days and evenings we serve hot chocolate, tea or coffee for breakfast and warmed mulled wine offered as aperitif before dinner in front of a log fire. The weather in Limousin in winter is often bright with clear blue skies and sparkling white frosts which make walking or cycling a pleasure. November - end February depending on the weather
Saint Valentine
We decorate the rooms with flowers and candles, serve Bucks Fizz with breakfast and prepare a special Valentine dinner with a Kir Royal apéritif, sparkling white wine and classical music.

Local food and regional specialities
The French love their food and you can buy food straight from the producer. Through the summer farms organise open visits, and you always buy milk, cheeses, eggs, honey and many other delicious products, knowing that they have been produced with care for the environment and for the animals.
Join in our local feasts and festivals
Each of the communes organise lunches and dinners, sometimes indoors and sometimes outdoors, and it is fun to join in real, local festivities. There are also hunt dinners where venison, wild boar and locally caught fish are served up in a meal with seemingly innumerable courses which last all afternoon and evening.
Discover the new born lambs and kids
Meet our mini-sheep and lambs and help to feed our lambs and kids.
February - May (please contact us in advance)
Seasonal Fruits
From Cherries in June to apples in autumn you can pick fruit from the trees, visit markets and the many local festivals. In autumn on moist, warm mornings you can find ceps and other edible fungi, and pick chestnuts from the verges and paths and roast them on the stove or on bonfires.
Christmas
Christmas is always a lovely time and it is good to get away to the country for a breath of fresh air. There are always many Christmas markets and night markets at this time of the year, and the street decorations are wonderful. We decorate the house and have a Christmas tree in the living room and cook a real English Christmas dinner with our own ‘happy’ hens and geese. We can’t guarantee snow though.
Easter
We organize an Easter-egg hunt; the children can hold our little chicks, see our Easter bunnies and join in our children’s and adults’ egg painting. If you are lucky, you might even be able to watch our chicks hatching out.
Easter Weekend
Pamper yourself at Les Essentials
Make your stay a little more special by paying a visit to Les Essentials, where Fiona offers high quality beauty and spa body treatments to promote good health and enhance your natural beauty. Special rates for our clients and for groups can be arranged.
